Pros

They provide a good opportunity to gain experience to use for future employment as they are a well established agency in the community.

Cons

This position has a good salary but no benefits because it is a temporary position. The other positions available pay very little but have benefits.

Advice to Management

The group leader does not have management skills and needs to improve sensitivity and not be too defensive when there's feedback provided or comments about the job by team members.

I have been working at Mental Health Cooperative full-time

    Pros

You really get to make a difference in people's lives, and if you put in effort, you can form real therapeutic relationships

    Cons

Not the greatest pay (it's a nonprofit, that's to be expected), and seeing the frequency of employee turnover is a bummer

I have been working at Mental Health Cooperative full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

co-workers, PTO/benefits. I had to add more text to proceed.

    Cons

very low pay, maximum of 5% annual increase - if making $30k, thats about $60 more per bi-weekly check. low chance (if any) for a monthly bonus for going well beyond your monthly goal. Very high staff turn over.

    Advice to Management

increase pay. the reason people work is to make money to support themselves and family.
