No opinion of CEO

Pros

Talented and decent co-workers with depth of experience.

Cons

Very slow to change. The risk aversion is likely due to the nature of the EDA industry with contribution from intra-divisional competition for the customer's budget.

    Approves of CEO

I worked at Mentor Graphics full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Well paid channel and to some degree OVERPAID!
    Established long time customer relationships

    Cons

Contracting to near 0 growth industry
Growth is by acquisition- yet a weak post acquistion strategy/deployment

Channel strategy currently focuses on big deals renewals only and has limited value based selling strategy with limited evaluation/new product selling facilities.

Limited opportunities to build relationships internally (common to most work at home environments)

    Advice to Management

Build a true multi-channel sales strategy with Sales managing all channels on key/global accounts.
Build a real CRM strategy aligned with some of the Social Media-like tools
