    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at Mercedes-Benz Research & Development North America full-time

    Pros

Lots of good projects and interesting problems to solve.
Most of the people are really nice and are easy to work with.
Everyone I work with is really down to earth and passionate about the brand.

    Cons

To address the chronic bias against local employees, a diversity officer was nominated. The diversity officer’s first action was to fire the local Manager within the department and replace him with a German one.
No one really understands why the company is paying lip service to diversity problems

    Advice to Management

Diversity in a team is a vital ingredient for long-term success. But you need to embrace diversity in practice rather than just in theory.
Bias against local employees can be found in hiring, promotions, assignments, and in many other areas. It is disappointing but not surprising that a German diversity officer could not see nor solve such problem. You are taking the wrong approach to solving diversity issues.
