"Horrible IT department management, way too many mandatory trainings with no added value!"

I worked at Mercer full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Large company, large office space. Long term employees, global company with exposure to multiple lines of business and a variety of geographically located coworkers. Allow remote working capabilities.

    Cons

They do not seem to care about the people. They are goal driven only and don't provide the tools to accomplish goals laid out due to the cost of them. They do, however, require a million mandatory training courses that most of the time have no added value and cause stress with over reporting and tattling on who is complying with what new mandate! Major cronyism within the IT Dept. Could benefit from a Senior Management overhaul and restructure!

    Advice to Management

Listen to the workers on strategy that makes everyone happy, don't just drive and shove things into fruition. If your workers are not happy with the direction it is bad for all!
