I worked at MetLife as an intern (Less than a year)

Pros

I learned a lot and worked on real projects. I was treated with respect and it wasn't a demanding job. My bosses were very helpful and friendly.

Cons

Not the most outgoing people, so it made for a quiet work day. They also don't seem to be in a hiring phase.

Advice to Management

Improve collaborative work environment, boost employee morale

I worked at MetLife full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Excellent training program for learning how to sell financial products
Better than average comp plan for entry level sales agent
    Good product set to offer

    Cons

Comp plan gets tough after initial period. You have to have a pipeline.

Commission based salary may be difficult for some people

    Advice to Management

Have a better program for developing sales leaders and retaining talent. The best sales people often leave and the managers are picked from those that stay around the longest and don't always earn it.
