I have been working at MetLife full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

140 years of experience, good financial strength

    Cons

Lately a lot of Upper management change

    Advice to Management

Our Brand was built on relationships, reliablility and loyalty -- if you don't continue some level of continuity internally (which does not seem to be the case lately), then you will undermine this strength. We are becoming too top-heavy - leat the mid-level talent develop and lead.

    No opinion of CEO

I worked at MetLife full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Excellent training program for learning how to sell financial products
Better than average comp plan for entry level sales agent
    Good product set to offer

    Cons

Comp plan gets tough after initial period. You have to have a pipeline.

Commission based salary may be difficult for some people

    Advice to Management

Have a better program for developing sales leaders and retaining talent. The best sales people often leave and the managers are picked from those that stay around the longest and don't always earn it.
