Pros

1. Teacher pay is one of the highest in the area.
2. Work with teachers who are competent, knowledgeable, and professional.
3. Good benefits.

Cons

1. The principals at many schools are changed too frequently. They are not left in place long enough to develop a rapport with the community or to see if any of their policies will be successful.
2.There are building administrators who are not effective, yet remain in the position or are sent to other schools.
3. No mentoring program to help develop teachers who are interested in becoming administrators. Teachers are at the mercy of their principal as to whether or not they are mentored or given opportunities to function in the role of building administrator.
4. People with no classroom experience are allowed to become assistant principal and principal.

Advice to Management

Both Principals and teachers need to be treated as professionals. Principals should be able to make certain decisions, regarding teachers, without having to check with the Central Office.
