I worked at MicroTech full-time (More than a year)

Pros

A few nice people to shoot the breeze with and have them pay for my industry related techncial product training certifications

Cons

Company is sales driven at the expense of just about everything else: low employee morale (excessive unpaid overtime, layoffs, appraisals/raises a joke), customers dissatisfied after purchase, internal conflicts with engineers, proposals, and operations, etc. Incompetent management made worse by hiring more of the same ilk to create sales without a realistic plan to enable its execution.

Advice to Management

Senior management staff a wee-bit arrogant to take any advice since they have all the answers. The likely plan is to sell out when the time comes. Beware, any prospective buyers out there.

I have been working at MicroTech full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

People are talented-some come from Microsoft, GDIT, CA, but they were sold a bill of goods to get here and are now stuck, or risk looking like job jumpers.

    Cons

An unbelievable about of money gets funneled into the UFC MMA organizations. Sales people are a joke, with some in their roles based on UFC connections. Management is seriously misguided, but don't ever tell him or the boot lickers so or you risk losing your job. Females are hired because of appearance, not skill or talent. CEO has bedded a few. Bad scene.

    Advice to Management

What's the strategy? Tired of getting lambasted in staff meetings yet?

    Pros

The only pros were the pay and the benefits

    Cons

    Government employees treat contractors poorly

    Advice to Management
