    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at Microsoft full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Good pay, good benefits.
Large variety of things to work on in the company, but it is hard to get onto the (very few) teams work on new/exciting projects.
In some groups it is easy to get lazy if you need to for a while.

    Cons

Nearly all your work will involve lots of legacy code.
Things move at a very slow pace -- the down time between projects can really drag on.

    Advice to Management

    Shake things up.
Not everything should be Windows or Office related.
Developers spend far too little of their time coding.

I worked at Microsoft full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Great Benefits
Experience working with Fortune 500 Clients

    Cons

Limited Work Life Balance - depends on your team/group
Limited career opportunities outside of sales and technical careers
Very political - need to network outside your group to get promotion/bonus
Each team/business units has different set of priorities and goal so hard to partner

    Advice to Management

Develop process to train new managers
Communicate clear priorities and vision for the company
