I worked at Microsoft full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Pretty good pay and good benefits. Stability of working for one of world's largest companies. Work with a lot of smart people.

Cons

Lots of meetings and lots of talking about things without always a lot of actually doing anything. Job satisfaction varies greatly from group to group.

Advice to Management

Focus on doing your core goals and business rather than being mediocre at everything. There's tons of room to eliminate unnecessary processes and layers of management that make doing one's job much harder and more time consuming.

    Advice to Management

If people really are your greatest resource, you really should treat them better and not make them constantly feel like an unnecessary cost to be managed out.
