    No opinion of CEO

I worked at Microsoft as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

    * Working on products that millions of people use
    * Real responsibilities and power
    * Just about everyone is brilliant
    * Location, money, work/life balance were all amazing.
    * Intern program events are unbelievable.

    Cons

Redmond == Deadmond, you have to visit Seattle for anything fun
Seattle is pricey, but MS makes sure it's not a problem.
HR can be pretty bad to deal with - high turnover means you almost never talk to the same recruiter twice.

I worked at Microsoft full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great technologies. Always a follower on the consumer side but they get enterprise customers.
work/life balance isn't bad, depends on the team though

    Cons

Review system is the worst ever. Managers are trained to deliver bad reviews despite what they believe.
Marketing teams are so internally focused. They simply don't care about the end-customer, their focus is on satisfying the leadership team.
Too many females running the US marketing team, lots and lots of drama
Still stuck in the 80s and the fact that MS once ruled the world
    Always a follower
