I have been working at Microsoft as an intern (More than a year)

Pros

+ Lots of opportunities to participate in big projects
+ Get to work with people around the globe
+ Great pay
+ Unique opportunity to see the hundreds of careers that are out there !

Cons

- There is not a well structured plan for interns
- You need to look for other projects to learn more, as an intern you're underestimated and your tasks will be somewhat limited or "easy"
- Several managers intervene with your activities and responsibilities which is confusing

Advice to Management

Define a plan for interns and do not underestimate them !

    No opinion of CEO

I worked at Microsoft full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Resources to do almost anything because of the size. Different business models and sales models provide a great learning environment.

    Cons

Getting any one thing done can be very difficult due to size. Company has clearly gotten too big to move quickly which is why it has fallen behind or missed so many trends.

    Advice to Management

Go on a diet and slim down.

    Pros

Salary and career progression is very good if you can pick a good industry and think and execute in collaboration with your team.

    Cons

many sucky managers infest the place. While training is given, managers are not typically well held to account to be excellent.
