Pros

Benefits are good. Employees are reimbursed for their tuition if they choose to take classes. Dejpendents also receive a tuition waiver.

Cons

Because it is a state agency merit pay raises are hard to come by. You will basically receive the same cost of living pay increase as everyone else, whether they do a good job or not.

Advice to Management

Workers who go above and beyond what is expected of them should be rewarded monetarily. Praise is good but it doesn't pay the bills.
