    Pros

No pros except free beer and in every large room a bar. Cognitive Dissidence.

    Cons

A sour smell surrounds Milwaukee, WI Headquarters from brewing activities as well as arrogant speak that comes out of their sours mouths.

    Advice to Management

Seems as though your core values stays within the (4) walls of your organization and does not extend externally to the marketplace, interviewees and your customers. The true core values that I experienced on October 4, 2012 is Ego, Arrogance, Pride and Know-it-all-ism.

You are so brilliant and so talented why are you stuck in Milwaukee, WI of all places. Since you are so brilliant why aren't they CEOs of Hedge Funds on Wall Street or CEOs of other US Multi-National Corporations.

I have been working at MillerCoors full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The pay is competitive, and the free beer is a nice perk. It's also quite fun to work at a beer company and be the envy of your friends.

    Cons

The job of every department is currently to deal with a never ending parade of minor catastrophes, usually triggered by poor planning, unrealistic expectations, and under-staffing. However, the feeling of success after solving these problems quickly fades. Morale is so low that people are somewhat more delighted to witness failure. But how can you blame them? The only real prize in solving a major problem is that you've averted the personal consequences for failing to do so.

Of course, this leads people to leave MillerCoors en masse as the economy gets better and jobs open up elsewhere. So you look up at the end of each month with fewer co-workers and more responsibility, feeling even less appreciated than before.

    Advice to Management

MillerCoors is great at investing in people's skills and knowledge, however, MillerCoors must learn to invest in people's happiness. The company seems to be doing well at the top, but everything underneath is hanging on by a thread. It's a bit easier to press your employees like this during an economic slump (as there is nowhere else to go), but if this attitude isn't reined in, then a lot of very talented people will jump ship at the first opportunity.

Also, learn to care about your product. "A passion for beer" shouldn't just be a slogan. Craft brewers are doing so well partially because they, like their customers, are truly passionate about their product. These customers can tell that a company such as MillerCoors is often only paying them lip service.
