I worked at MillerCoors full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

Good Beer, Good Team-mates, Good Benefits. A lot of good people that work in the trenches for this company.

Cons

Inept Management, no work life balance, too many "C" students that think they are "A" students. There are still some people employed that should not be.

Advice to Management

Stop wasting your money on engagement surveys

I worked at MillerCoors full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

MillerCoors is doing their best to be competitive in the fast changing world of beer. Craft and micro brews are taking their toll on premium light beers which are the bread and butter of a big brewer. MillerCoors is fighting hard and being strategic with their offerings and portfolio to be competitive into the future. The company is not resting on its laurels and is really focused on producing quality products that fit consumer choice.

MillerCoors has a robust learning and development department called MillerCoors University which is a great tool and resource for employees.

    Cons

Big companies often become myopic and short-sighted when faced with market down turn. They cut everywhere they can at the expense of doing business the right way. MillerCoors is falling in to this situation. Hard \working, talented employees are constantly being sacrificed in the name of cost cutting. People are killing themselves doing the jobs of 2 and 3 people. It is not a healthy work environment.

    Advice to Management

The corporate culture at MillerCoors continues to erode at an alarming rate. Senior leadership talks about engagement regularly but disengages employees through constant layoffs and overwork.

The right Vision and Values are in place and provide great directional structure however leaders need to walk the talk.
