Pros

Location - major metro area.

Cons

too risk averse; influenced by the Japanese culture. Unless someone retires, chances of one getting promoted are slim to none. Not a good place to advance your marketing career. Good for beginners, since you can get fundamentals.

Advice to Management

Don't pretend to be a big corporation. Small companies have their advantages as well; namely, flexibility that you lose by trying to emulate big corporations. Try to motivate people with what's relevant. Using "one size fits all" approach is old school.

    Pros

Good levels of investment at site and in brands.

    Cons

Poor site management, very old fashioned structure and top heavy. Inflexible attitudes, not open to change.

    Advice to Management

Slim down site management, empower them to be more radical and modern in their approach.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

Big plans to grow people and big push for continuous improvement. Lots of training and development and lots of projects.

    Cons

But at a massive cost to work life balance. Long hours unpaid. Salary to them means you work whatever hours are needed whenever needed and you are always available on your mobile. They try to do too much at once.

    Advice to Management

Contract is average 39 hours. That means an average of 39...not 50!!! You can also pay salaried staff overtime.
