Pros

Smart, talented colleagues, good branding, good events, interesting assignments

Cons

The pay and benefits might be the worst in the industry, which says a lot in an already low-paying industry. Even during good economic times, the health insurance was a joke, dental was nonexistent, and we were discouraged from even getting reimbursements for work-related expenses. Also - CEO would send Christmas cards of his kids in front of his mansion to us (low-paid, bonus-less) employees who were trying to figure out how we would even afford holiday gifts.

Advice to Management

Improve pay, implement respectable benefits, and respect the need for employs to take their earned PTO.

    Pros

The higher ups were actually quite friendly, nice people. Very creative and always interesting. The final product was always wonderful. There was always great communication.

    Cons

it was quite competitive and their was definitely an air of pretension among some. You had to look and act a certain way.

    Advice to Management

I would have to say that they should get an internship program together or hire more assistants because I think that would help them.

    Pros

Great, talented people running and working in production. Informal atmosphere yields independence. Not a lot of people breathing down your neck. Coworkers always willing to lend a hand. Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-regional environment if you like that sort of thing.

    Cons

No room for promotion or advancement based on performance or abilities. Cronyism and nepotism abound. Pay and benefits are lacking. As are raises and holiday bonuses. Titling is not in keeping with job duties. You could be managing a whole department of staff and projects under the title of coordinator. You could be doing surfing the web all day under the title of manager. There's a definitive air of snobbery amongst senior management that borders on cruel. Expect a lot of silent rides up in the elevator.

    Advice to Management

Money doesn't buy you class. Advancement should be based on hard work and genuine results. Give your employees the titles they deserve even if it means paying them what they should be earning. Promote internally.
