    Pros

Supportive managment team, really push to get you established in your territory and will help you be aggressive with pricing.

    Cons

No particular cons about anyone working with the company in particular. They expect you to sell and grow your territory each year, just like any other sales job. Challenges arise with distribution/shipping at times, but if you watch your orders and get the right people involved, and COMMUNICATE, everything should run smoothly.

"Mohawk was a highly demoralizing place to work."

I worked at Mohawk Industries full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Training, Mohawk will pay and send you to training events.
Pay, the pay was decent, not great, but it was at least about average.
Co-workers, there were great people to work with at Mohawk, mainly from other companies that had been bought up and old hat guys that had been around since the early days. (20+ years of service).

    Cons

Management, hard on employees, you could never do right by them, if you weren't able to meet insanely high goals they set, you were yelled at and belittled for not putting in more hours (even after putting in 10+ hours of unpaid overtime). If you met the goals, they wanted to know why you didn't do better. Even when you met goals and exceeded, they found something to complain about.
Project management, projects were created and just thrown out there without any real apparent forethought or consideration to the actual effort needed. Even when advised by employees that things could not be done with the current man power in the time allotted, they would push forward until the project was majorly behind schedule. Then and only then would they throw a small amount of extra effort at the problem, but not enough to make the difference needed at that point. During these projects the expected workload shifted constantly, so much so that you really had no idea what was expected. They would put someone in charge of a project that hadn't had anything to do with it at all and all of a sudden 2 days later pull them off because the output hadn't increased tremendously.

    Advice to Management

Learn to relate to the people you mange. Probably replace most current upper management teams with newer people from the lower ranks using a different method to choose from times past.
