I have been working at Monsanto Company full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

Great place to network and work with people on a global basis.

Cons

Because it is a large company, it can be hard to feel like more than just a number.

I have been working at Monsanto Company full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

-the pay you won't touch plain and simple.
    - the work load was not that bad.
    - very flexible schedule
-truly best product(s) money can buy so selling them was easy.
    - fringe benefits such as a free pickup and you got free meals almost daily.

    Cons

    - Monsanto's management runs the business based only on numbers. So if you have 1 bad year I've seen them get rid of 15-20 year salesmen just because they struggled one year.
    - a lot of farmers are upset with Monsanto. So the pressure/stress to hit your "numbers" is off the charts.
-It's not good enough that you hit your numbers each year they expect 20-25% MINIMUM growth per year. So if your moving lets say 4000 bags of corn and 2000 bags of beans the following year they are expecting 5000 bags of corn and 2500 bags of beans JUST TO KEEP YOUR JOB.
    - Monsanto corp. LIE A LOT to the salesman
    - the communication from St Louis ( World HQ) to salesmen struggles by the time I'd be informed of an event or project it has been going on for 4-5 months. Usually my clients would inform me of it and I'd either have to e-mail St Louis or call St Louis and they would confirm or deny that(which again takes minimum 1 week to investigate that sale)
