Recommends
Approves of CEO

Pros

-Very knowledgeable people on various levels
-Good exposure to various aspects of the business
-Good benefits
-Nice pantries
-Convenient locations

Cons

-High turnover - a lot of great professionals left in the last couple years
-No good talent retention
-A lot of shifting people from one group to another puts pressure to adapt to new responsibilities quickly without any extra benefits

Advice to Management

Senior management has to put more effort in talent retention. Stop hiring temps, it's a waste of money and everybody else's time - they are gone within a few months and the rest of staff is left with the same amount of work or someone new to teach.

    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

Name of Morgan Stanley looks good on resume other than that has not been as good as had originally imagined

    Cons

Compensation is lower than every other firm anywhere, continue to hire MD's and place people in non-revenue generating roles and cut comp of people actually doing the work

    Advice to Management

Get your compensation in line with the street, stop hiring consultants and ex-Mckinsey people to "manage", compensate the people you want to keep, have a vision for where you want to take the business and figure out which people will help you get there

  2. "Overworked and underpaid"

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

There is a good benefit package and schedule flexibility

    Cons

Constantly increase work responsibilities and assignments with very little increase in compensation. Did not treat employees equally. Excessive favortism.
