I worked at Morton Buildings full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

They give you bonuses if you make good time on buildings. If you like to work 60 hour weeks they usually do that through warm season. Provide tools to each crew truck mostly newer dewalts. Provide decent vacation and personal time for new employees.

    Cons

The jobs are usually managed behind closed doors. Supervisors are not up front with what the schedule for the coming months are. You usually get left feeling like your just a pawn. They have a really solid training program in writing, yet is only as good as the management that enforces the program.

    Advice to Management

Focus on new hires. Pay close attention to phase training. Make sure that new hires are receiving hands on training. Truth is investing in the training and taking a little extra time in the first year is a lot better in the long run than skipping out on hands on training just to say on the job hours.
