Pros

The residents at the facility make the job worth working at, because they keep me on my toes. If it weren't for them, i do not think i would have been here this long.

Cons

There is not much communications there at all. Sometimes the employees, especially the CNA's are left in the dark on many issues concerning the admission of new residents. Also, the nurses are always sitting at the desk and if you ask for a hand in something, they look as if you said something wrong to them.

    Pros

Work was alright compared to other places like this in Charleston.

    Cons

Upper management didn't know how to let others manage. Too many people fired to meet managements choices.

    Advice to Management

Educate and let staff do their job.

    Pros

Good clean environment. The Hospital thrives to make it better for the surrounding community, better and safer for the patients that come into our hospital.

    Cons

Constant changes, JACHO rules and regulations make it very hard for the nurse to actually get more time with the patient. We are always changing our standards and the way of practicing nursing or medial treatment for the patient. Some are good changes, but some are not. Just too much change.

    Advice to Management

Come up with a good safe practice and stick with it. Offer more bonuses to the nursing staff, we are the ones that do the primary patient care. We are at the bedside 24/7.
