I have been working at Motorola Mobility full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Relatively nice working environment. Healthcare is adequate but a bit costly. Nice working for a large company that is recognized around the world.

    Cons

Ability to grow within the organization is VERY difficult. There's still a "good ol' boy network" in place that limits career advancement and appropriate reward for performance. The company has seem to be less likely to take any chances on new technologies, which tends to squash employee creativity. Additionally, personnel constraints has resulted in less people doing more work.

    Advice to Management

Please come up with an actual plan that is executable as opposed to pie in the sky jargon that MSOs and Wall Street is looking for. Take care of your employees as if we were Google, and the dedication and commitment level will rise beyond belief.
