Not everything is best done by a process - there is a human factor to running a company.

    Pros

    Great brand name (slowly being eroded). Great employees.

    Cons

    Heard about warring tribes. Directors Egos, zero cooperation with others, everyone out for himself.

    Advice to Management

    Fire management. Anyone can do better.

    Pros

    Ability to work from home part or full time. Good compensation.

    Cons

    Like many companies in today's economy, the workforce is very thin due to layoffs over the past few years.

    Advice to Management

    Focus on long term strategies such as strengthening the foundation of the company in the areas of R&D, customer support, retaining good talent. Solid quarterly/annual financial results are important to MSI (and should be) but should be balanced with other priorities (i.e. what is the effects on their long term strategies and health as a company when attempting make or exceed their numbers). Back to basics.
