Pros
The people who work there are amazing and so capable and helpful, for the most part, aside from the occasional big ego. Unparalleled level of intellect and expertise in many areas. The campus is old but beautiful. Benefits are competitive for the industry. 9/80 schedule is fire.
Cons
Too many "battlefield promotions" resulting in a lot of leaders who belong in technical roles, not leadership. Many practices and systems are political, bureaucratic and antiquated - feels like the 80s in many ways. Space exploration is full of calculated risks but that mentality isn't allowed to bleed into business processes. I've never experienced a more risk-averse environment.
