I have been working at NBCUniversal as an intern (Less than a year)

Pros

Since the finance rotational program is only in its 2nd year, they are thinking of improving it continuously. This allows flexibility. You also get placed on various NBC properties, which is awesome: USA Network, Bravo, Oxygen, Telemundo, etc

Cons

If you aren't as interested in corporate finance, the full-time rotational program (2yrs) probably isn't the best track for you.

Advice to Management

I have been working at NBCUniversal full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Steve Burke has a strategic vision that he consistently communicates to the Company. For most functions, career opportunity is there for the taking. There are some great perks (Summer Fridays, pilot and film screenings, on site medical services, discounted movie tickets, to name a few).

    Cons

HR has struggled since the Comcast acquisition. It's starting to settle in now but initially there was a sharp decline in strategic HR business partnering and a huge talent drain. The function seems to have stabilized now and is working to rebuild capability.

    Pros

Pay is ok and you meet lot of stars

    Cons

You don't feel like you belong or wanted as a black person. Too much favoritism takes place.
