Pros

They are okay to work for. They have been improving in meeting current benefit standards.

Cons

When a government contract is up in the air due to funding, NCI does not take into consideration of compensating employees or working with employees to move them to other opportunities that they may have open. Although, the majority of the employees are non-exempt you are still treated as an exempt employee. In other words, they will only pay you what is billable.

Advice to Management

If you want to retain good/quality people get in align with corporate values.

    Pros

It's a paycheck, a small small paycheck. I look at it as a paid internship. NCI does offer a lot of skillport classes and online books. They will grudgingly pay for IT certifications. You can learn a lot if you are fresh out of school.

    Cons

Low pay. Untrained workers. You get what you pay for. From what I have seen, NCI just wants a warm body. They have poor middle management. Upper management must be good since they keep winning contracts and making money. I know they are making money because they send employees spam emails telling us. Employee moral is low.

    Advice to Management

Your employees are your business, compensate them better. They are the face that your clients see. Your customers see disgruntled employees, and your high turnover. Luckily the US government goes with the lowest bidder.
