    Rewarding job where you feel like you are making a difference
    Job is different everyday
    Great benefits
    Union makes your job pretty secure
    OT is always available and is time and a half
    PTO: Vacation, Sick, and Personal time after 3 months

    Cons

    Can be mandated
    Work weekends, holidays
    Not paid as high as you should be for the work you do
    One 30 cent raise after 6 months and than no more raises
    No way to advance
    Drama in houses amongst staff
    Terrible communication between management and employees
    Not trained well enough to do the job
    Anyone is hired
    Can be moved from your house to another house you dont work in based on need

    Advice to Management

    Company needs to be more organized, Management has no idea whats going on and makes decisions and doesn't tell the parents or the staff working. Better pay is definitely needed.

    Pros

    The clients definitely need qualified professionals to meet their goals and building a professional relationship is worth following through to see progress.

    Cons

    Salary is not comeasurate for qualified professionals and training is handed by word of mouth with little mentoring. Some people can teach and some can do; This organization needs better instructors.

    Advice to Management

    Coordinate better staff training with qualified in house instructors and mentoring for new employees; Offer competitive hourly salaries for qualified professionals and train on how to write a 30 page detailed reports in 2 hours by non clerk typists (including paid time for all rewrites due to company changes or missing data that was never provided). This practice exploits your qualified staff by not paying for all hours they put into the work and this abuse explains why you have high turnover. There is a point where dedication becomes abusive from a human resource employer no matter how dedicated the person is to the population served.
