I worked at NHS full-time for more than a year

    Pros

some staff and patients help you get through the day by being ok.

    Cons

rotating days / nights / weekends. You will have to deal with highly abusive patients, cleaning up human waste, and changing from day shifts to nights shifts with one day off inbetween. A lot of profoundly miserable and burned out staff. Very few patients will ever get better. shifts are destructive to physical and mental health. you can advance but you have to sell your soul to be a manager in the NHS.
