Pros

the company had a great mission and opportunity where talent was rewarded and execution for the single customer was the focus

Cons

the last few leadership teams have broken down from being leaders to self centered yes people. where conflict is frowned upon and not encouraged. if you don't agree with the leadership you are seen as not being a team playerr and are cast aside. where nepotisim festers an atmosphere of distrust and incompetency.

Advice to Management

Leave...it would be better for Chenega to just start over with a new leaderrship team...it would be better for your single life line customer to have you leave.

    Pros

Pay if you were underpaid at your previous job
Telework- you can work from home if approved by a manager
Benefits-gym member reimbursement (up to $500 before tax), medical and dental insurance, etc.

    Cons

They hire family over qualified people
Pay at the most you get a 2-3% raise per year, bonuses are not based on actual performance, but on whom you know or who likes you.
Promotions are based on who likes you, not merit. They force people to back stab, and be out for themselves, then expected you to be a team and want to eat lunch with people trying to get you fired so that they can take your job.
Unless you are an engineer, they do not believe in paying for training, in fact they harass employees that force them to pay for training by tripling their workload, denying them promotions, and doing a smear campaign if they try to move within the company.
Telework is only good if your manager approves, and the system is functioning. Some mangers take off 1-3 per week, yet will not allow the employees to work from home.
Most managers are not knowledgeable about how to use the system, training new employees, are generally accessible when need.
If you are being harassed by fellow employees, make sure they are not the mistress, girlfriend, wife, friend, or child of anyone in authority otherwise you are more likely to lose your job rather than a report be filed with HR. Despite the management handbook stating that states all incidences are supposed to be reported, even if the person does not want to file a formal report. At this company evidence and eye witness do not matter, your concerns will be dismissed and you will be labeled “not a team player”.
This company is discrimination lawsuit waiting to happen.

    Advice to Management

Stop hiring your family, and paying them exorbriate pay. There is no way your family member with a high school diploma and no experiance should be make $80,000 and above over someone with experiance, or graduate degrees.

Good place to learn the Project Manager Frame work if you have never work as a Project Manager and you will probably gain valuable experience.

    Cons

Nepotism is a big at NJVC to the point some people are using their maiden name and not following their managers request to complete task because their spouse is in charge of a section that they may some influence in that section.
