Pros

The company offers a good benefits package and competitive PTO plan. It also invests in equipment that is comparable to other similar-sized stations.

Cons

The company is now downsizing its stations in the pursuit of more profit and at the expense of growth in the marketplace and retaining talented employees.

Advice to Management

The company needs to really evaluate whether some general managers should be leading their respective stations, and stop protecting those who are incompetent.

    Pros

Decent Benefits, Great Co-workers. Reasonable perks.

    Cons

Terrible Management. They just always seem to turn their heads to whats really happening.

    Advice to Management

Pay attention to what your employees are saying about their jobs and how they are being managed. Check in on field operations once in a while. People have broken their backs for this company and they just don't seem to care.

    Pros

Pay is OK as far as newspapers go - not great but livable. The people who work at the paper are a lot of fun, which is a definite perk to the job.

    Cons

Almost impossible to get time off, requiring you to schedule all vacation days up to a year in advance. The pay is not good and the opportunities for advancement are very bad.
