    Great employee discount, 50 percent off on nyx and Loreal own brands Great way for inspired makeup artists to build experience Good working relationships with employees within the store

    Barely any gratis, and if there is gratis, good chance you already got same products before No brand training, only product updates through email or conference that only management team hear Horrible pay hourly, no commission at all Favoritism Horrible hours, at times you can work between 10 to 15 hours week Never any products to sell, and warehouse always sends 50 of the same products that's not selling to the store

    Advice to Management

    Please stop doing grand openings when clearly you can't afford it! In the beginning it was exciting because they paint it to be a great company that's growing rapidly where we can grow and move up in the company. So you accept that ridiculous pay because you think you will work hard, move up fast and be recognized, that's not the case. Hours is cut always, products that are selling in store are always sold out. How do they expect us to build baskets if a customer who comes once a week looking for her shade in foundation is sold out? That's a turn off for most customers that visit the store. How do you expects us to sell if we are not knowledgeable on the products we sell? If employees are in stores between 10 to 15 hours ...that's about three days out of the week, it's a good chance that they will miss out on the info that's been given to the management team. This is the first company that I had that don't give time and half for holidays, so that shows how cheap that company is. They pretty much don't want to invest in their artist. Part time gets no benefits etc, ok understandable but, not time and a half?! Fixtures are always broken, and theirs always a couple iPads that needs fixing that takes forever for it to get down. Management team are always in the back chilling, on their phone etc while employees are drowning in the front helping customers. And because of the hour cuts, imagine being the only person on the floor helping with color matches, questions, and ringing up custom etc, and someone from the management team is i. The back watching organs is the new black on their phone. Always cleaning, cleaning bathrooms, mopping floors , pretty much janitorial work. Felt like I was cleaning more than I was selling makeup. Nyx glorify beauty gurus like they are the Messiah. I know it's a business and a lot of beauty companies send PR packages to them but, seriously we work for you and slave for you so it's a slap in the face to go on social media and we get scrap. Invest in your employees nyx
