I worked at National Association of Insurance Commissioners full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

There is a lot of financial work that goes on in terms of regulating private sectors. you will have inter departmental experiences and engage in working with multi level supervisors which will help for experience in traditional atmospheres for later experiences.

    Cons

Everyone is hitting retirement age I was the youngest person in an office of 50 people who were all on average 60 years old. It was sometimes boring and even micro managed because I was taking on duties from outdated workers with no new outlook on skillsets ( handwritten notes as opposed to electronic)

    Advice to Management

create better incentives for early retirement.
