Pros

Interesting work which provides job satisfaction at the end of the day. It is a unique organization to work for.

Cons

Salaries are below average, and pay rises are barely 2 - 3 % a year.

Advice to Management

Management should evaluate the salaries more carefully and ensure that they are keeping up with the local market conditions, otherwise more employees are likely to leave.

I have been working at National Association of Insurance Commissioners as an intern

    Pros

Pay is good for an intern position
Internships are not just for the summer, they are around 9 months (or more if you work less hours per week)
Various internships become available at all times of the year
Many internships do not require a certain major
    Relaxed atmosphere
Company pays for monthly parking pass, unlike many downtown companies
Full-time employees work 37.5 hours instead of 40
Regularly provide fruit/snacks/other rewards for employees
    Many more!

    Cons

Interns can not work full time over school breaks, they are limited to the same number of hours as during the semester.
No chance of going full time unless a job you qualify for just happens to come available as you are finishing up school (which is very common, so not really that big of a con)

Thank you for the positive review we are glad you had a good experience. Interns actually CAN work full-time during breaks, but it is at the discretion of the manager. Thank you!
