Positive Outlook

I have been working at National Association of State Boards of Accountancy full-time

Pros

The time off benefit is very nice.

The insurance plan is very rich.

They pay 6.1% of your salary into a retirement regardless of whether or not you pay

Cons

You will not be compensated accurately

The company is small and there is not much plan for growth so you will only be promoted when somebody leaves however they have no succession plan so they usually hire externally

Average Employee Moral is terrible

Advice to Management

Pay your employees what they are worth.

Listen to the professionals that you hired, let them perform their jobs and give them the tools to do so.

    Positive Outlook

I worked at National Association of State Boards of Accountancy full-time

    Pros

Great cause, improving the safety of recreational boating all across the nation. . Great work/life balance... no one is ever questioning your time off, or needing to take care of family matters. This is the result of a small staff, with about 50% working remotely.

    Cons

Like many non-profit organizations, you are limited in what you can and cannot do. Especially with a lot of people working remotely.
