I have been working at National Carriers full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Kw t700 trucks. Put u up in a motel while waiting for a load for beef plant.

    Cons

Where do I start?? Gave them an honest chance. Planners don't understand that we can't deliver during our 10 hr break, will deadhead u 800 miles for a load but won't dh you 200 to get a load to go home. Miles are 10-15% short of actual miles. 34c/mi empty and loaded over 600. 38c/mi under 600. Also pay per diem 10c/mi. They don't tell u this until your in orientation. Avg for 6mo 1632/mi week. We can't live off that. And I don't really take sometime. If u want to be lazy and have alot of downtime this is the right company.

    Advice to Management

Pay more money. Instead of pocketing it give some to the people that do the work. Teach your planners how to plan. Teach your dispatchers how to dispatch and be personal, were humans too.
