I worked at National Instruments full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

-Loads of responsibility bestowed upon you early on
-Comfortable company culture with lower stress level than other tech companies
-Highly communicative, ethical, and open senior management
-Access to lots of internal training and employee development courses
-A company that thinks of layoffs as a last resort, rather than a first option
-Nice perks at the Austin office like on-site Doctor, 3 cafeterias, sand volleyball courts, and serene nature-surrounded campus

Cons

-Financial compensation is on the low end
-Performance bonus is based on company performance, not personal performance.

Advice to Management

Keep hiring the best and work even harder to keep them compensated and advanced enough to retain them.
