Approves of CEO

I have been working at National Restaurant Association full-time

Pros

Good compensation & great benefits. Top management does a good job of proactively addressing the company culture and employee satisfaction. The hospitality industry is also fun place to be.

Cons

Slightly disparate expectations and output between offices. Some tools and support are a little clunky. Company-wide communication is still being polished. Processes and oversight sometimes compromise agility.

I have been working at National Restaurant Association full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Wonderful place to work. Many resources to help you get your job done, beautiful work environment, great benefits. Culture is focussed on hiring individuals with the hospitality spirit, trust, integrity, etc. and that is very much felt in the work environment. Benefits are very good and salary is high.

    Cons

The organization is highly complex and requires a great deal of political maneuvering between Government Policy, product design (solutions), the educational foundation, the national show -- a lot of competition within the enterprise for the same dollars from companies.

    Advice to Management

Do more to create an enterprise approach on how to engage constitutents.

I worked at National Restaurant Association full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Great people work here. They pay less than other companies but you get great benefits. Lots of holidays.

    Cons

Pays less than industry standard. Poor management and practically no career paths, no room for advancement. High turnover rate due to low morale.
