I have been working at Nationwide full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great company that cares about it's Associate's as well as its customers. They give great benefits paid time off from the start. This company is more like a family than a job. Going to be with them for a while.

    Cons

Although a large majority of big name companies have their flaws, I have yet to encounter any problems while working for them.

I have been working at Nationwide full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Decent paid time off, benefits, and salary. Fellow associates are some of the best people I've worked with. If you get the right territory, you just might have a balanced workload. Somewhat of a flexible schedule.

    Cons

Expect to work many hours off the clock in order to get your work done, including weekends. You may be an exceeds employee several years in a row (which is almost impossible to achieve now) and not even average a two percent raise a year. Expect to take several trips to the dentist because you'll be grinding your teeth at night thinking about your thirty new inspection you have pending. Ask to be cut off and you'll be told that you don't manage your time correctly although you're by far the top producer. Company expects a claimant to give you a 10 in customer service after you just authorized aftermarket fenders on their 2012 BMW 5series. Have a full drive-in day yet still receive a full days worth of new field inspections, makes no sense! Best to request your vacation the first week of the year or it will be extremely difficult to find two consecutive weeks off later on. You don't use it, expect to lose it.

    Advice to Management

Has the potential to be a great company to work for if work life balance was seriously addressed. Management over the years has added several time consuming steps to the claims process and has yet to adjust claim load in order to reflect for lost field time.
