    Pros

This is a good place to work, especially for young people. Employees have solid backgrounds and are generally very sharp and motivated. The company provides training opportunities. Work-life balancce is more than reasonable, with reasonable hours (depending on the practice), and above-market paid time off. If you do good work, you can shape your career and project choices. Heavy emphasis on consistency in promotion/evaluation process.

    Cons

The compensation is generally average. Among top-tier mgmt consulting, it is probably below average. The credo is often "we don't compete on salary." While it is true that there are other attractive benefits of the firm, salary and bonus is a concern.

    Advice to Management

Improve feedback mechanisms. Reviews are treated, as with other firms, as perfunctory. Consider alternative compensation strategies. Stop following market and start leading it.

    Pros

Navigant consulting has great people and great hours. as a summer intern I worked as much as I wanted to, given that I always wanted to work more. It really depends on what projects you're on, but navigant tries to put in a good effort to rotate you where you want to be.

    Cons

it is litigation consulting, you either like it or you don't. it's a very specific field, so be careful in what you're getting yourself into. they are very practical and believe they are a good place to work, but at the same time aren't full of themselves.

    Advice to Management

navigant consulting should have more intern programs that challenge the interns on a critical mind level. too many of their events and activities are not extremely uesful
