    Pros

I worked for Navigant Capital Advisors (NCA) which is the corporate financial services arm of Navigant Consulting. NCA has a very strong restructuring focus. The Chicago office does almost all restructuring deals with smattering of traditional IB deals (M&A, capital raise, etc...) NCA's Atlanta office is the center of traditional IB engagements though they also do some restructuring. It is possible for cross-staffing to occur on engagements between offices. Very smart people; lots of U of Chicago and Kellogg people. Lots of hours for all, lots of travel for some.

    Cons

If you are looking for a 9-5 with strong work/life balance, this is not the place for you, nor the industry most likely.

    Advice to Management

I have no complaints about the management. The people are bright and engaging. Every business has challenges, Navigant is no exception.

    Pros

Great work like balance if you made your director aware of any overworked challenges.
Good environment to work in to enhance certain professional skills due to the amount of budget dedicated to resources.

    Cons

The organization only seems to cater to consultants in terms of professional development.
There is not a clear roadmap in terms of career path for individuals not in a consulting role.

    Advice to Management

Create a mentorship program for individuals in an adminstrative role.
Clearly define the benefits for administrative roles in terms of professional development and education.
