I worked at Navistar full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Good people, what is left on the payroll
100+ year old company, used to have good products

    Cons

Upper management is horrible, do more with less. Engineers are using system that are so outdated, they can't be fixed. Management doesn't care, good ole boy program.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your low level managers.

I worked at Navistar full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Hard working and knowledgeable workforce. World Class headquarters with great amenities. Working to create a more robust design and development process. Top notch industrial design.

    Cons

Will sacrifice workers to satisfy investors. Crowded and constantly shifting upper management roster.

    Advice to Management

In times of fiscal uncertainty, do whatever it takes to maintain employment levels, even if it means temporarily cutting salaries across the board, and actually fix the processes that continue to hemorrhage money.
