I have been working at Neiman Marcus full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - Potential for great pay
    - Amazing discounts that can exceed 50% off
    - Awesome perk and incentives to motivate you

    Cons

    - High expectations
    - If associates get a return the commission from it is taken out of their pay unless it's been over a year
    - The better you do, the more management expects from you

    Advice to Management

Don't be so hard on your employees when their numbers fall because your whole department's numbers have dropped. Clearly, it isn't a problem with a single individual at that point. Don't make employees handle issues that arise from other employees unfairly stealing sales/commissions...that is your job as the boss. If you want to accept merchandise returns after months or when they have clearly been used then do so on the house and don't make your associates' paychecks suffer for it.
