I have been working at Nestlé full-time (More than 8 years)

Pros

Strong brands, values are being strictly followed. Good compnay to work for where an individual can grow and can show his talent to the rest of the world inside Nestle family.

Cons

At present trying to diversify in too many sectors and that is probably hitting the bottam line of the compnay. When a company gets bigger and aims at a rapid growth within a limitd time span several critical problem crops up. Nestle is facing that issue very srtongly now, specially in subcontinent market.

Advice to Management

Need to stick to the main strong brands and keep them developing by continuous R & D. Need to curtail the unnecessary overhead costs by identifying the root causes which will help the brands to regain the desired bottam line.

I worked at Nestlé full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great continuous learning with excellent exposure.
Excellent product quality which helps you do your job!
Annual Staff Events and nice gifts for the poeple... who doesn't like freebies! :-)

    Cons

    Internal corporate Politics.
Slooow career growth in most cases.
    Bureaucracy.
Under paid employees. Although they tell you the longer you stay the higher your salary jumps... but what about opportunity cost?!

    Advice to Management

    - Be fair to employees and give offer them salaries based on their work, experience and professionalism; not based on their nationality.
    - Do not allow internal corporate politics be the focus of people to think they can secure their jobs like that. you're a marketing company, let your staff market the product and not themselves!
    - The staff in the Middle East are so much different from Nestle staff elsewhere... only Nestle guys will understand this.
