I worked at Nestlé USA full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Fairly balanced workload, pretty predictable from week to week. Very steady regular hours. People tend to arrive by 8:30 or 9am and leave by 5:30pm. It was unusual to see people around after 6pm. On site cafeteria and gym at Glendale HQ, offices completely renovated about 3 years ago.

Cons

Conservative environment with lots of meetings. If you're a contractor, you are not on the career track -- there's quite a few of them. Not very forward-looking where technology, social media is concerned.

Advice to Management

Convert your contractors to employees more quickly. Be more willing to embrace new trends like social media, blogs, and mobile technology.

    Pros

The Nest- where you can buy Nestle products at a discount, EDC (cafeteria), Good pay, talented young people, good team building events, and free samples.

    Cons

Can be stressful depending on the management you fall under, worked during weekends just to keep up due to being short staffed, and political

I have been working at Nestlé USA full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good starting wage for the area with decent benefits. Product care and quality is high in priority. Hygiene and cleanliness standards are high.

    Cons

Employees are treated as extremely disposable. There is an incredible lack of empathy from local management. Often, new employees can be dragged through an elongated temp to hire process lasting well over twelve months.

    Advice to Management

Start seeing the employees in your area as valuable assets and not replaceable tools.
