Pros

Great foundation on Grooves. Great place to work on vibrant city street. Free ice cream and drinks. Good vacation package

Cons

Incredibly long work weeks. Long commute because of costly place to live. Poor senior management. Pushing out old timers for Nestle automatons. Non-competitve pay and benefits are down-graded year after year.

Advice to Management

Get rid of the politics and base pay and bonuses on performance, not good ol' boy network. Value what made Dreyers great int he first place.

    Pros

Decent place to work if you can take the pain of working one of three different shifts in freezing temperatures and you like the overtime pay.

There are good people that treat you pretty well and are cool for the most part -- I would say that it's almost a necessity due to the difficulty of the job -- otherwise the turnover would be much higher than it already is with the temps.

Plenty of overtime in the summer and free ice cream. Permanent employees get good benefits and bonuses. You get frequent breaks in order to warm up whenever you want since what really matters is that you surpass or come close to a daily quota.

    Cons

You will freeze your butt off if you work in the warehouse area. They cut back on temp wages. There also seems to be a disconnect between warehousing and the production/office area employees. Night shift schedule might mess up your sleep.

Given that its easy to get in and work as a temp there, they're bound to get a few problematic folk that just don't last very long.

    Advice to Management

Might want to work on uniting warehousing and the rest of the company. It's like having two separate companies in one building.
