Negative Outlook

I worked at NetVersant full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Organized in terms of Enterprises Resource Management

Cons

Incompetant and greedy management drove the company into debt and eventually was bought out.
No pay raises or annual reviews. We also never paid our vendors. Also very top heavy management

Advice to Management

The company was eventually rescued by Lynn Tilson but my advice to the upper management was treat your people and customers with respect.

    Pros

The company is owned by the Patriarch Group with assets of $8B. They could have a great story to tell if NetVersant were truly part of the family.

    Cons

The company went through structured bankruptcy and managed under a microscope. cash flow issues abound and new CEO has cut headcount by probably 25%-35%. Others have left under their own volition due to many reasons to elaborate. However when the #2 & #3 ranked sales people for the last 3 years leave , red flags go up.

    Advice to Management

It is important for any company to have a business plan, mission statement, articulate it, and stick to it. NetVersant doesn't know what it wants to be.

    Pros

Great people to work with and benefits were average, good technical knowledge of customer’s needs, and requirements to have a national presents.

    Cons

Upper management did not know the level of customer care the call center provided to their customers before reducing workforce. No communications to the employees with where the company was headed.

    Advice to Management

. Review all current procedure’s to keep the level of customer care to highest satisfaction before making changes and know the daily duties of employee’s before making changes.
