    Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

A big name, highly accredited hospital with major medical advancements. It boasts new technology that advances medical breakthroughs for people suffering from an array of diseases and cancer. It bends over backwards to please every patient.

    Cons

It bends over backwards to please every patient, even at the cost of bedside nurses. Often times leaves workers incredibly understaffed and overwhelmed; -most especially the general medicine floors with high acuity levels. There is also an increase of patients with mental disorders that staff are not always equipped to handle, and there is also a 24-hour visiting policy with patients families that can sometimes get in the way of care, and nurses and aides are left stranded to have to work "around" these issues, with not much help from management, or adequate security to assist.

    Advice to Management

Listen to requests and complaints, and consider the well being of all staff that collaborate to make the hands and faces of NYP Weill-Cornell.
