I have been working at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Competitive pay and benefits. A lot of exposure to illnesses/ surgeries that you would not see in other hospital settings.

Cons

Bad morale. Everyone only out for themselves. New staff thrown into situations without proper training. Upper management is not aware of the problems going on below them. Good workers work hard, bad workers reap the benefits without having to work as hard or at all. At best- organized chaos.

Advice to Management

Focus on employee satisfaction such as making sure we have necessary equipment and staff. Get rid of staff that does not do their job

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great Pay! Starting med techs fresh out of college with 25.16 and of course differential for night shifts.

    Cons

The other employees were just terrible to work with. They would deliberately start rumors and treat you differently either because your new or because you would be younger with a higher position than them. Terrible training process and management has favorites. It's a dirty lab, no advancement or decent raises. It was a very miserable experience

    Advice to Management

Treat all employees the same and learn how to deal with insubordination from your employees! There were plenty of incidents where security should've been called or the situation should've resulted in termination.

I have been working at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Have several hospitals to pick

    Cons

They are not unionized. They do not have protected work rules at all their hospitals. If you want protected work rules do not work at NYP-Weill Cornell for they are not unionized.

    Advice to Management

At NYP-WC, please do not for get to listen to your nurses and hear what the nurses are saying.
