I worked at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

you are well compensated for what you do. they are will spend what it takes to get you in the door. vacation time is also generous.

Cons

You will get very little support from middle mgt. You will need to CYA at all time. They will always ask what have you done lately. They do not provide growth. Senior mgt and very territorial.

Advice to Management

need to have a better work-life balance...middle mgt staff is always worry about losing their jobs

I have been working at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Lot going on to challenge you. Very busy and successful hospitals. Values it's employees. Pay seems fair.

    Cons

Due to the enormity of this company, they have issues getting a handle on details as they trickle down the chain of command. Getting something easy done can sometimes take months or if you bump into the right person, immediately...

I have been working at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Competitive pay and benefits. A lot of exposure to illnesses/ surgeries that you would not see in other hospital settings.

    Cons

Bad morale. Everyone only out for themselves. New staff thrown into situations without proper training. Upper management is not aware of the problems going on below them. Good workers work hard, bad workers reap the benefits without having to work as hard or at all. At best- organized chaos.

    Advice to Management

Focus on employee satisfaction such as making sure we have necessary equipment and staff. Get rid of staff that does not do their job
